PrayFor US Churches: WaPo Assails Non-Profit Status for Churches, Rips Americans for Giving

(Breitbart.com) – The assault on America’s churches has begun, with commentators like Dylan Matthews of the Washington Post and Matthew Yglesias of Slate calling on the government to tax churches. “Whichever faith you think is the one true faith, it’s undeniable that the majority of this church-spending is going to support false doctrines,” Yglesias wrote on Thursday. He added, “upgrading a church’s physical plant doesn’t enhance the soul-saving capacity of its clergy.”

PrayFor US Diplomats: Egyptians turn fury on diplomat rumored to be next U.S. ambassador

(FoxNews.com) – WASHINGTON –  Egyptians have turned their  fury recently on Robert S. Ford, the former U.S. ambassador to Syria now being  considered as the next ambassador to Egypt, in light of unfounded rumors on a  Canadian website about his past actions in Iraq.

Not only do his chances of taking over from current Ambassador Anne Patterson  seem in jeopardy, Washington is now in a position of having to struggle even  harder to repair its reputation in the region.

“It is a very difficult task,” Mohamed Elmenshawy, director at the Middle  East Institute in Washington, told FoxNews.com. “Given the level of  anti-American sentiment from all Egyptian political players, Ford has serious  challenges ahead of him. It will take serious initiatives by the U.S. to recover  its reputation in Egypt in order to make the mission of the new ambassador  easier.

PrayFor Privacy: Lawmakers Clash Over Obamacare Privacy Concerns- Video

(CBN News) – Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are clashing over privacy concerns as a major part of Obamacare is set to take effect in two months.

Health insurance exchanges are set to start running Oct. 1. The application process requires the Internal Revenue Service to share private data with other agencies working to enroll people in the program.

That has sparked concerns about protecting privacy, especially after the way IRS officials targeted conservative groups before last year’s election.

“This data hub is a hacker’s dream, but I don’t know who I most fear; someone from the outside hacking the information or the way our government handles it,” Rep Sam Johnson, R-Texas, said.
