(Conservative Tribune) – If you’re a military veteran and support President Donald Trump, you have no honor — at least according to one MSNBC commentator.
Terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance seemingly anointed himself the king of honor and announced Saturday that any veteran who stands with the president is dishonorable.
“These military people love him, alright? And I’m going to just come right out and say it — not honorable military veterans,” Nance said, according to Breitbart News.
The MSNBC talking head was referring to comments Trump made more than two years ago, when he questioned whether Sen. John McCain was a hero for being shot down and taken prisoner during the Vietnam War.
“(B)ecause an honorable military veteran, if they had heard this story, would have said, ‘You know what, there’s a line,’” Nance said, essentially speaking for all veterans.
“‘That line has now been crossed,’ but they have this cultish love of him where the love of Donald Trump exceeds the Constitution and exceeds the love of the honor of everyone who has sacrificed and lost in this nation,” Nance added.

Nance is himself a veteran who spent 20 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy.
That service, however, should have made him more aware of just how ridiculous and insulting it is to call veterans “not honorable” because of who they support for president.
Based on the pundit’s own definition, at least 88 different Trump-backing veterans all lack honor, because during the 2016 campaign, a long list of generals and admirals signed a joint letter endorsing Trump.
“We support Donald Trump and his commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamic supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically,” the endorsement from those 88 officers read. “We urge our fellow Americans to do the same.”
That’s in addition to veterans such as James Mattis, who gained almost saint-like respect among the enlisted ranks for his leadership during Middle East operations and is now serving as the secretary of defense.
True enough, Trump has made controversial remarks in the past, and his statement about McCain is one of them.
What Nance doesn’t seem to understand, however, is that actions speak louder than words, and millions of veterans support the president because they believe he will do what it takes to protect America, despite any trash talk years ago during a campaign.
Trump has gone out of his way on numerous occasions to make his love and appreciation of the U.S. military known. While President Barack Obama seemed awkward and aloof with the nation’s service personnel, Trump seems right at home and speaks about them as if he is truly proud of what they do.
Nance and others like him are entitled to their own opinion, but they don’t get to speak for all other veterans and military members in the country.
The honor that comes with loyal military service does is not magically erased just because some pundit on MSNBC said so — and it doesn’t disappear based on who somebody chose to vote for on Election Day.
